A safe, joyful place to grow up
Bumblenook began in 2015 with one classroom, six toddlers, and a simple belief: children do their best growing where they feel safest and happiest.
From one classroom to a neighborhood home
Ten years later, more than 600 families have passed through our doors — and our promise hasn't changed. Small groups, familiar faces, honest daily communication, and rooms that feel like the coziest parts of home.
- 10+ years serving Portland families
- 600+ enrollments and 50+ weekly learning activities
- Small groups and familiar faces every day
What we believe
Four values guide every classroom decision we make.
Secure by design
Keypad entry, camera-monitored rooms, allergy-aware kitchens, and educators certified in first aid and safe sleep.
Joy is the curriculum
Literacy, math, and science hide inside blocks, songs, gardens, and glorious messes — never drills.
Parents in the loop
Daily photo reports, open-door visits, and conferences that talk about your whole child, not just milestones.
